Beverage Testing Institute ReviewRated 94
Black ruby color. Aromas of dried blueberries, red cherry and baked strawberry, eucalyptus, and mocha with a full body and a tingling, elegant, medium-long compote of blueberries, plums, blackberries, boysenberries, ripe and tart black cherry, leather, sweet tobacco, and earl gray tea, and chocolate bark finish with medium tannins and light oak flavor. Lush ripe fruit that will be sure to please; has the potential to get even more delicious and integrative with air time.
Wine Tasting Notes
Declaration by 1849 Wine Company makes a bold statement with this brilliantly commanding, assertive Cabernet. Blended from Napa Valley vineyards and its surrounding hillsides, this wine is aromatic with notes vanilla, hints of cocoa powder, and toasted brioche. The palate is robust with flavors of dark blueberry, blackberry, traces of red currant and subtle sweet oak from the barrel. Declaration is fruit forward, full-bodied and spreads richly across the palate, with soft velvety tannins and a long-lasting finish.
This label features artwork entitled, Declaration, by Los Angeles urban street art legend, Saber. This artistic emancipating piece echoes the historically significant words of our founding fathers, that we all are endowed with the unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
