James Suckling ReviewRated 94
A mix of red and black fruits with lavender and fresh herbs followed by vanilla, blanched almonds and a hint of black ink and pencil lead. Full-bodied, firm and juicy tannins with good acidity backbone. Sound and harmonious wine with beautiful drinkability. Terrific quality. This needs two or three years to take the edge off it.
Wine Tasting Notes
This delightful Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet is an exquisite Bordeaux blend, boasting velvety, well-rounded tannins and a luxurious, opulent texture. Crafted to mature gracefully and acquire added intricacy, this wine displays a luscious and succulent character in its early stages, offering enticing aromas of freshly picked boysenberry, blackberry, and cassis, accompanied by hints of dark berry fruits such as fig, black cherry cola, and currants. The harmonious infusion of warm baking spices from the oak integration beautifully complements the more traditional Knights Valley nuances of lavender, wild sage, and mocha. With its lively and well-balanced nature, invigorating acidity, and a lingering, silky-smooth, and gratifying finish, this wine is truly a crowd-pleaser.
