Decanter Magazine Review
Les Combettes is a cool site that faces north-east and sits just below the forest on yellow limestone soils. The Vincents have a 1.32ha parcel of 35-year-old vines at 320 metres that produces a correspondingly chiselled Pouily-Fuissé with no new wood but plenty of fresh, saline, mineral flavors, some leesy weight and notes of fresh herbs and lemongrass. Drinking Window: 2022-2030.
Wine Tasting Notes
The Chateau Fuisse Pouilly Fuisse Les Combettes Chardonnay shows a light yellow color with subtle notes of green. Floral and mineral on the nose, with hints of exotic fruit and ripe apples. On the palate, the attack is full and fresh with aromas of white flowers. Rich on the finish, the wine is fresh, with a crisp minerality and good roundness.
