Wine Review Online ReviewRated 94
Don't believe blanket proclamations about there being no Napa Valley red wine from 2020. Offerings might be few, but there are still examples worth seeking out. This is spot-on Cabernet from the Merlot masters, with classic regional profile showing on the generous side, with nice herb character folded in. Approachable now, and age worthy as well, with no 'fire sign'.
Wine Tasting Notes
This elegantly crafted Duckhorn Napa Cabernet is made from a blend of grapes sourced from both mountain and valley floor vineyards. It showcases a luxurious complexity with enticing scents of huckleberry, cardamom, graham cracker, dark chocolate, and violets. The palate reveals succulent flavors of ripe boysenberry and black tea that smoothly glide over finely textured tannins. The wine is rounded off with a vibrant acidity that adds to its long and graceful finish.
