Jeb Dunnuck ReviewRated 90
I'm always amazed at the quality this estate gets in the Cotes du Rhone, especially at the quantities produced. Their 2018 Cotes Du Rhone is well worth seeking out and has a medium-bodied, round, silky style as well as textbook peppery herbs, violets, bouquet garni, and both red and black fruits. It shows the supple, charming, forward style of the vintage and is ideal for drinking over the coming 4-5 years. MATURITY 2022-2027.
Wine Tasting Notes
E. Guigal Cotes Du Rhone Rouge shows deep and dark red, shiny. Fresh fruits with red berries and spices on the nose. The palate is full, round and racy with rounded and smooth tannins. A full-bodied, rich and intensly aromatic wine. Full with a long finish and plenty of elegance and finesse due to the well balanced tannins and fruit.
