VinoUS Media ReviewRated 92
The 2014 Estate Reserve was sorted by hand, lightly crushed, fermented in stainless steel and matured in 300-liter French oak barrels. The outgoing, lively nose features plenty of red berry fruit mixed with mint and crushed violet. The palate is well balanced with fine-grained tannins; the mainly red fruit is pure and nicely integrated with the oak. It gradually builds in the mouth toward a saline finish and a slightly fishy aftertaste. This needs two or three years in bottle, but it should turn into a very fine Estate Reserve. Drink 2023-2040. Wine Tasting Notes
The signature blend of the estate is a reflection of the old Claret style when Syrah was added to the traditional Bordeaux varieties. Aromas of White pepper, black olive, cinnamon, jasmine, bacon and spicy plums. Tremendous concentration and generous fruit with a velvety structure on the palate. Very good oak integration with a fresh long finish.
