Product Description
James Suckling ReviewRated 91
This is a very fresh, crisp and gently grippy array of brambly red berries and milk chocolate. Fine, grippy, detailed tannins. Purchased grapes from the northern end of the appellation. Drink or hold.
Wine Tasting Notes
Jean Michel Gerin Saint-Joseph Syrah is a youthful purple with smoky, focused dark berry and violet scents are sharpened by a suggestion of cracked pepper. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering bitter cherry and black currant flavors that show an open-knit character and appealing sweetness. Dusty tannins shape the finish, which hangs on with strong tenacity and repeating florality.
