Product Description
Wine Enthusiast ReviewRated 91
This full-bodied Carignan-based wine wraps potent fruit and dark-spice flavors in a firm texture, framed by bright acidity and moderate tannins. Its good structure and concentration will pair well with many rich proteins. Best through 2025.
Wine Spectator Review
Rated 91
Vibrant and distinctive, with snappy cranberry and cherry flavors that are laced with smoky anise and white pepper notes, picking up speed toward refined tannins. Carignane, Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah. Drink now through 2026.
Wine Tasting Notes
The finished wine is complex and old-worldly. There's earth and mineral along with some wildly exotic fruit, and an attractive soft finish. We've regularly heard it referred to as the best example of an old-world blend made today in California. We think it's at least that.
