Wine Advocate Review
Rated 95
The 2019 Chardonnay Laurelwood District comes from seven different vineyard sites throughout the appellation. It's energetic, spicy and mineral-driven this vintage, with transparent aromas of white peach, beeswax, jasmine and flint. The palate pairs spicy fruit with exotic floral undertones. It has a satiny, expansive texture balanced by a spine of shimmery acidity, and it finishes long and expressive. Drink 2023-2033.
Wine Tasting Notes
Floral notes of honeysuckle, white lavender and citrus blooms lead to a complex nose of mandarin, white peach, mango, lemongrass and ginger. The mouth is full and reminiscent of a light meringue with notes of honeycomb, dried pineapple and shortbread all framed by a lively acidity and a beautiful salty fresh finish.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Laurelwood District has a pale ruby-purple color and slowly unfolding aromas of cranberries, tangerine peel, pipe tobacco and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate is powerful and generous with concentrated fruit, grainy tannins, plenty of refreshing acidity and a long, spicy finish. Drink 2024-2034.
Wine Tasting Notes
This perfumed nose shows beautiful spice notes of black pepper, nutmeg and mesquite with floral aromas of lavender and dried rose petal. Ripe blueberry, raspberry and blackberry bramble mingle throughout. The mouth mimics the nose with spice notes, maple, black cherry reduction and dried sage. Chocolate nibs, malted and cinnamon frame the sweet mid palate, fresh with juicy acidity and finishing with lovely long, dusty tannins. Ponzi Vineyards Laurelwood District Willamette Pinot Noir is a perfect pairing with seared duck breast and cranberry coulis, creamy risotto with porcini mushrooms, or a beet and lentil salad with tarragon vinaigrette.
