Wine Advocate ReviewRated 93
This is surprisingly soft and rounded; the 2019 Shiraz / Viognier is buffed and smooth, devoid of any hard edges in the mouth whatsoever. Initially, I attributed this to alcohol, but 14% is not raising any flags. The wine has a dark chocolate polish, emphasized by the core of plump, saturated fruit on the middle palate. Elegant and lovely. Very good.
Wine Tasting Notes
Yering Station Yarra Valley Shiraz Viognier shows deep purple ruby. On the nose, crushed ripe black berries, star anise spice and white pepper. Velvety and lush, the black and blue fruits overlay a rich and generous palate. There's lots of complex spice imparted from both the fruit and the French oak used. The finish is long and moreish. Drink now through 2035.
