The 2019 Chardonnay Calesa Vineyard takes some time to emerge from its shell, offering mineral-laced white peach, jasmine and salted almonds. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and expansive, with a sense of energy derived from its dichotomy of honeyed fruits, shimmery, rocky tones and bright acidity, and it finishes with extraordinary length. It's approachable now but will continue to improve in bottle over the next 5+ years and hold for several more. Drink 2021-2030.

Seamlessly balancing lovely textural richness with finely tuned acidity, this radiant Chardonnay offers alluring aromatics of tropical flowers, guava, orange zest and quince, with underlying hints of creme fraiche and sweet baking spices adding nuance and poise. On the palate, flavors of bright citrus and mango glide across a supple, creamy texture, with the acidity providing lift and focus to a long, high-toned fruit finish.
