Product Description
Decanter Magazine ReviewRated 97
One of the most elegant Cabernets of the 2019 vintage. Sourced from various Coombsville sites, this blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, and 2% Merlot is teeming with minerality, baking spices, toasted cedar and rich red berry aromas. Impressively vibrant, unfolding with fragrant rose petal contrasted by fresh gravelly tones. A dusty tannin backbone is framed by firm acidity, while the round fruit profile is almost buoyant. This will develop lovely complexity over time. Drink 2022-2040.
Wine Tasting Notes
Paul Hobbs Coombsville Napa Cabernet has rapidly gained popularity since its first release last year and is now considered one of the standout options in Paul Hobbs' collection. It presents a beautiful deep purple color and entices with aromas of crushed blueberry, summer savory spice, and a subtle hint of tobacco leaf. The palate is impressively well-balanced, with seamlessly integrated tannins and refreshing acidity that complement the flavors of boysenberry and black fig. Subtle notes of rosemary and a mineral undertone add complexity and contribute to a lingering finish.
